The Desire for Better Career Prospects

Francesca (29) was born in Italy and has been living in Germany for eight years. After completing her higher education entrance qualification with a focus on business and administration, she initially worked in the hospitality sector, later as a receptionist, team assistant and, most recently, as an administrative assistant in property management.

In April 2025, she contacted the education and career counselling. Her aim was to have her Italian professional qualification recognised in order to improve her career prospects in Germany and gain further qualifications

Step by Step Toward Her Goal

At the beginning of the guidance process, Francesca’s professional experience and skills were reviewed together. It became clear that her professional qualification first needed to be recognised before she could begin the further training she was aiming for to become a certified business administrator.

From March to November 2025, Francesca was supported throughout this process. Together, the necessary documents were compiled, the application for recognition was prepared, suitable further training courses and language courses were researched, and discussions with education and training providers were prepared. She also received support in coordinating the funding. This meant that all the necessary steps towards her qualification could be set in motion.

Professional Qualification Recognised, Further Training Begun

At the end of 2025, Francesca received the news that her Italian professional qualification had been fully recognised. She then compared various further training options together with her adviser.

A few weeks later, she informed the education and career counselling that she had been able to begin the planned further training to become a certified business administrator. This laid the foundation for her continued professional development.
